Saving Rural Reservoirs Act

This bill changes the Watershed Protection and Flood Prevention Act so that more dams can qualify for federal rehabilitation help. It adds a new category called a "covered dam" to the law's rehabilitation program. A covered dam is either an eligible high hazard potential dam, as defined in the National Dam Safety Program Act, or a dam in a town of fewer than 5,000 people where more than half of the dam's embankment is made of compacted earth layers.
