Dashboard for MILCON Projects Act

This bill would require the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering, working with each military department Secretary, to set up a central dashboard within one year of enactment. The dashboard would track data on military construction planning, design, and execution for research, development, test, and evaluation facilities, which the bill defines as laboratory and test and evaluation facilities. It would use existing financial management tools and show items such as facility location, age, size, condition, unfunded needs, and planned projects and their value. The Under Secretary would certify to Congress's defense committees that the dashboard works within 30 days of setting it up, and would recommend within three years whether to keep using it. The authority under the bill would end on December 30, 2030.
