Veteran Burial Benefit Correction Act

This bill would change federal law on burial and funeral payments the Department of Veterans Affairs makes when a veteran dies from a service-connected disability. It would raise the maximum payment from $2,000 to $3,000. It would also require the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to increase that amount each fiscal year based on the rise in the Consumer Price Index, rounded to the nearest dollar.
