Special Education Administration Protection Act

This bill would bar the Secretary of Education from contracting with, buying goods or services from, or transferring activities to the Department of Health and Human Services for the work of the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services. It would also stop several existing laws, including the Economy Act, from being used to move or share that office's functions. Arrangements between the two departments that were in effect on February 1, 2025, and renewals of those arrangements, would not be affected.
