Accounting STEM Pursuit Act

This bill changes the Student Support and Academic Enrichment Grant program under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965. It adds accounting education, including accounting career awareness, to the list of uses for state-level grant funds. It also allows local school districts to use these grant funds for activities that develop, carry out, and strengthen programs to teach accounting. This includes increasing access to accounting courses for students through grade 12 who are members of groups underrepresented in accounting careers.
