Fishing Equipment Tax Relief Act of 2025

This bill changes the federal excise tax on portable, electronically-aerated bait containers used in fishing. It lowers the tax rate on these containers from 10 percent to 3 percent. The tax is paid on sales by the manufacturer, producer, or importer. The lower rate would apply to containers sold after December 31, 2025.
