AWRC Act of 2025

This bill renews federal funding for the water resources research and technology institutes program under the Water Resources Research Act of 1984. It authorizes $16,000,000 per year for fiscal years 2026 through 2029 for the program. Of that money, 20 percent each year would go to research by institutes on regional or interstate water problems, priorities set jointly by the Secretary and the institutes, or interstate water problems identified by Congress. The bill also adds a reference to the artificial intelligence industry in the law's statement of purpose about private industry.
