Educators for America Act

This bill changes the rules for teaching residency programs funded through Teacher Quality Partnership grants under the Higher Education Act of 1965. Programs would still have to set criteria for selecting people to take part in the residency based on listed characteristics. The bill adds a new requirement that these programs give priority to recruiting and selecting people who are underrepresented in the teaching profession, including men.
