Double the Wage for Overtime Act of 2026

This bill would change the federal Fair Labor Standards Act so that employers must pay overtime hours at two times a worker's regular rate of pay, instead of the current one and one-half times. The change would apply in the main overtime section of the law and in several related sections that set overtime rates for certain types of work. The changes would take effect 180 days after the bill becomes law.
