No TAP Act of 2026

This bill would change federal highway law to remove the required set-aside of Surface Transportation Block Grant Program funds for transportation alternatives programs. It strikes the subsection of federal law that creates this set-aside and removes references to it elsewhere in the law. It also makes related changes to rules on transferring federal-aid highway funds and to metropolitan transportation planning provisions that referred to the set-aside.
