VA TRUST Act

This bill changes how the Department of Veterans Affairs sets pay for its senior executives and reports on their bonuses. It would require the department's reports on performance awards and bonuses for high-level employees to list which budget accounts paid for each award and the annual base pay of each person who received one. It would require that pay for senior executive positions at the department be set by the Secretary within the pay ranges and limits that apply to the federal Senior Executive Service. It also sets pay rules for career executives who transfer to the department from other agencies and for executives who move between senior positions within the department.
