Keep Jobs in California Act of 2026

This bill would bar any state from taxing people who do not live in that state based on the value of their assets, when the tax covers a time period before the state passed the tax law. The ban applies only to people who are not living in the state on the date the state's tax law is enacted. The bill would take effect as of January 1, 2026.
