Judicial Loyalty Act of 2026

This bill would change federal law so that only natural born citizens of the United States could be appointed as federal judges. It would also require any sitting federal judge who holds citizenship in another country in addition to U.S. citizenship to give up that foreign citizenship within 60 days after the law takes effect. A judge who does not renounce the foreign citizenship by that deadline could not continue in office.
