Housing for Heroes Act of 2026

This bill changes the federal Good Neighbor Next Door Sales Program run by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). It makes members of the Armed Forces, firefighters, and law enforcement officers eligible to buy single-unit homes that HUD has acquired through the program. These homes would be available to them whether or not the homes are in a designated revitalization area. HUD would be required to update its regulations to carry out these changes.
