Affordable Housing Supply Chain Clarity Act

This bill would require the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to review how the Build America, Buy America Act, which sets rules on using U.S.-made materials, is being applied to the HOME Investment Partnerships Program, a federal affordable housing program. The review must be finished within 180 days after the bill becomes law. Within 90 days after the review, HUD must issue updated guidance explaining how the Buy America rules apply to HOME-funded activities. Within 270 days after the bill becomes law, HUD must send a report on the review and the guidance to the housing committees of the House and Senate.
