MORE Opportunities for Homeownership Act

This bill changes the definition of a "community financial institution" in the Federal Home Loan Bank Act. Right now, that definition covers institutions whose deposits are insured under the Federal Deposit Insurance Act. The bill would add institutions whose deposits are insured under the Federal Credit Union Act. This would allow federally insured credit unions to qualify as community financial institutions under the law that governs the Federal Home Loan Banks.
