Housing Choice Voucher Fairness Act of 2025

This bill changes federal law on Housing Choice Vouchers (Section 8) when a family with a voucher moves to an area served by a different housing agency. For families receiving tenant-based assistance on or after January 1, 2026, the original agency would have to keep paying the family's assistance after the move. The original agency would not have to keep paying if the rental assistance cost at the new home is more than 10 percent higher than the cost when the family lived in the agency's area.
