AIRSHIP Act

This bill would change a federal law on NASA aeronautics research so that airships are included in two research areas that currently cover rotorcraft and fixed wing vehicles. It would allow the NASA Administrator to set up competitive grant programs for research teams. These teams could include people from universities, industry, and government. The bill also states Congress's view that airships could be used for air cargo and to deliver disaster relief and humanitarian aid.
