Protect World Cup Attendees Act

This bill applies to entities that receive certain federal homeland security grant funds under a 2025 budget reconciliation law. From June 11, 2026, through July 19, 2026, those entities could not take part in 287(g) agreements, which let local officers carry out federal immigration duties. During the same period, they also could not carry out civil immigration enforcement. These limits would not apply in emergencies, such as an imminent risk of death or violence, threats to national security, hot pursuit of a dangerous person, or the imminent destruction of evidence in a criminal case.
