Common Repository for Small Businesses Act

This bill would require a Department of Defense official, the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Industrial Base Policy, to set up a central repository within 90 days of the law taking effect. The repository would hold information that the Department commonly asks for when first vetting contractors who apply to supply products or services. It would be developed together with existing Office of Small Business Programs efforts that provide market research, supply chain, cybersecurity, and cloud tools to small manufacturers and procurement assistance providers. The Assistant Secretary could partner with defense contractors to build it if doing so would reduce duplicate paperwork or lower the cost of qualifying suppliers.
