Promoting Health Careers in Community and Technical Colleges Act

This bill changes the federal Health Professions Opportunity demonstration grant program under the Social Security Act. It would require groups that receive these grants to train participants to earn a recognized postsecondary credential, including an industry-recognized credential. It would also update the law's definition of eligible schools to include institutions described in an additional section of the Higher Education Act, which the bill states is meant to clarify that community colleges can receive these grants. The changes would take effect on October 1, 2025.
