Transparency in Federal Land Acquisitions Act

This bill would require the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to publish a proposed land protection plan in the Federal Register at least 60 days before the plan is finalized. After publishing it, the agency would have to let the public submit written comments on the draft plan. These steps would not be required for a plan that expands a National Wildlife Refuge by less than 50 acres or less than 15 percent of the refuge's total acreage, whichever is greater.
