MORE Act

This bill changes the federal health profession opportunity grant program under section 2008 of the Social Security Act. It requires the Secretary, when reviewing grant applications, to give preference to applicants that have partners in three categories. The categories are: state and local government agencies and social service providers; colleges, apprenticeship programs, and local workforce development boards; and health care employers, industry partnerships, labor unions, and labor-management partnerships. The changes would take effect on October 1, 2025.
