Biodefense Diplomacy Enhancement Act

This bill directs the Secretary of State to work with U.S. allies and partners on biodefense, biosecurity, and biotechnology. It tells the State Department to push for more biodefense planning and policy within NATO, including possible changes to NATO's chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear defense policy. It also directs cooperation with other allies on export controls for biotechnology items that could be used to make biological weapons and on enforcing the Biological Weapons Convention. The State Department would have to write two strategies and send them to Congress in a report within 270 days, and give Congress a briefing within 90 days.
